How To Find Cheap Items To Sell on eBay

by Jesse Holmes

Maybe you’ve seen the other sellers on eBay and wonder where they get their merchandise. It’s easy to see who is selling stuff from around the house, but where do the other sellers get their products?

Apart from the stuff lying around the house and the garage, many eBay sellers go to yard sales and thrift stores to find items to sell. What they do is look for items that are cheap or marked down below their actual value. Thrift stores especially can be a great place to find brand new clothing with the tags still on.

Imagine an eBay seller finds a brand name shirt with a price tag of thirty dollars. They purchase the shirt for three dollars at the thrift store and they spend about a couple more dollars on listing fees. In the end, they only invested five dollars and that shirt could sell for maybe twenty dollars on eBay. The seller makes a $15 profit and the buyer receives a brand new shirt at an amount cheaper than the price tag.

Are you looking to make a few hundred dollars or a few thousand dollars every month? Whatever you goal is, it can be done. That’s how I got started.

How To Sell On eBay – Making Feedback Work To Your Advantage

by Jesse Holmes

Many people have heard the success stories about people who have it big on eBay. Could it be true? Well, as one of the success stories myself, I can say yes. The truth is that making a decent living on eBay can really happen. All you need to do is know the techniques of selling on eBay properly. It’s not that hard to learn these techniques, but you need to learn them. There’s a big difference between selling your stuff lying around the house and selling products on eBay to create a business and make a living. But regardless of why you want to sell on eBay, one of the most important things to concentrate on is your customer service.

Anyone learning how to sell on eBay must know that they will never be a success unless they show superior customer service. eBay has a well-established rating system. This rating system allows buyers to rate the people they have bought from on several key factors such as communication, shipping time, and if there was a proper description of the product or service that was sold. This rating system is how so many people are able to trust certain sellers. With so many scam artists on the web, including on ebay, it is important for buyers to be able to review the seller’s reviews from their previous customers.

Ever Wondered What eBay Really Is?

by Jesse W. Holmes

Maybe you’re wondering, what is eBay anyway? You might have some idea of what eBay is, but let me explain a bit more about it.

So what is eBay? Imagine a worldwide newspaper full of classified ads. This worldwide classified ad section has products and services for sale. Millions of people can see and put their ads in this newspaper. Now look at eBay like the newspaper. Of course, eBay charges sellers to put an ad on their website, but the exposure to the millions of worldwide buyers is worth it.

Also, anyone can put almost anything for sale on eBay. You’ve probably heard the ridiculous news stories of items that you’d never expect to sell. Like a grilled cheese sandwich with the (supposed) image of the Virgin Mary that sold for $28,000.

However, not every seller is “out to lunch.” With over 276 million users on eBay, there will be some oddballs. However, the rest of them are hard-working people just like you or I.

All of these users, whether buyers or sellers, are part of the eBay “community.” As an eBay user yourself, you deal with other users directly. Any buying or selling you do is between you and the other party. It happens one-on-one, just like it would in a marketplace in a town square. eBay is just the place where buyers and sellers meet, haggle over the price and then close the deal.

Starting An Online Business

by Steve Blalock

Most online business opportunities come down to three broad categories which are: selling products or services to retail customers, selling on eBay, and business-to-business selling. When you are looking at creating and starting an online business, you’ll want to look at what your specialty is in creative business around one of these three broad categories.

If you decide that you want to sell to retail customers, you will have to find a way to sell your products or services in a different manner than many of the other retail websites out there. If you decide that you want to sell on eBay, you’ll want to find a wholesale distributor of products where you can buy your products at a great discount. If you already work within the business-to-business forum, this will be an easy transition for you.
