Before putting new tiles on floor you need to carefully remove old tiles from your bathroom. However, this is little difficult to do. After removing old tiles from bathroom floor, make sure the surface is smooth and clean. You can use grease cleaners to ensure there is no grease on the floor.

Remove all the molding and fixtures like the toilet or sinks from the bathroom. You also need to purchase subfloor, either green board or cement board and screw it to the floor. It should be cleaned and leveled.

Use grout spacers between each tile to keep the spaces even and uniform. You can use the tile cutters and nippers to cut tiles and fit them around your cabinets, tubs, and other fixtures.

Leave tiles to set for 24 hours. After that you need to spread grout into the spaces between tiles with help of trowel. Wipe off excess grout with a wet sponge. Next day, run a damp mop over the tiles to clean off any additional grout. Let the grout cure for few days before stepping on the flooring.

Tiles are now fixed properly and you can set all the fixtures in the bathroom again. Put the extra tiles aside for future use. Your work is over now and you can enjoy new look of your bathroom.
